The inspiration for this series of books for young readers came from the stories he used to tell his young son, Jonathan, at bedtime. It is hoped that the book fills a need for youth who desire to read and at the same time learn about the origins of our country. He has sold many paintings, most but not all of cowboys and scenes of the Western United States. He has illustrated other children\u2019s books. Fowler has received numerous awards for his art, including a \u201cBest in Show\u201d first place finish at a Wyoming State Fair and a \u201cBest in Show\u201d first place finish at an Arizona Yavapai County Fair.
